Nestled on a quiet street near Piazza del Popolo and at a five minutes’ walk from The Spanish Steps, The First Roma Arte is a sophisticated, intimate boutique property filled with contemporary art, and brimming with elegance and charm.
Originally a 19th century palazzo, The First Roma Arte was thoughtfully restored and transformed into an elegant and refined 5 star property with the sophistication of an aristocratic home in 2011. The ambiance of the hotel is set immediately as guests are greeted with a relaxed ‘living room’ check-in and a glass of Prosecco! A unique characteristic of the hotel is its display of impressive original pieces of contemporary artwork, created by some of the most important artists on the Italian art scene, displayed throughout common areas and suites. With its permanent and temporary exhibits, each room becomes a small private gallery, to be personally enjoyed by guests. Highlights of The First Roma Arte include:
"I had clients stay 3 nights at The First Roma Arte and they loved it. They thought that the ambience and service were “over the top” and that the staff were superb with their caring service. They had a superior meal at the hotel restaurant which they said was great. I myself love this hotel too, it is like living in an exciting modern art gallery . I can’t wait to send more clients there." K.C. - Travel 100 Group
"My clients are enthralled! They have not stopped raving about the hotel and the wonderful associates since they arrived and keep referring to it as ‘home’. I was pleased to hear this as I had insisted on them staying The First Roma Arte, and it has proved a very wise decision.” I.R.– Ross Travel
"As a luxury hotel travel advisor, this hotel stands out, and I will recommend this property to my clients & friends. The location is strategic, the rooftop terrace cannot be beat, and the rooms & views are beautiful. I noticed every single well-thought out detail in the room. Thank you again and I will book future clients with confidence - truly an outstanding experience." C.C. - Destination Haven Travel

Marco is a native Roman and has for the past 29 years made the luxury hospitality industry his home. He took up the rains of general manager of The Majestic Hotel in Rome in 1990 and now proudly manages The First Roma Arte and The First Roma Dolce Hotels. His assignment at The First took place in October of 2019 and since then he has been looking after guests at two of Rome’s very finest boutique hotels. And that is the case with Marco…he exudes quality, luxury and precision but not an iota of pretention. Marco has fit in very well.
